We live in a world where everything moves fast. If you want something, you can often take shortcuts to obtain the desires of your heart. The current world order fosters a belief that there is always a quicker way to satisfy yourself, which presents humanity with a significant challenge: the ability to be patient and to wait.

Patience has become like the dinosaurs—rare and no longer popular—because we have shortcuts for everything. The microwave is now more commonly used than the oven because it’s easy and quick. However, the quality is not the same, and it won’t serve you in the long run; it only provides temporary satisfaction.

Patience, then, becomes our highest blessing and grace. It honors God and gives Him time to have His way with us. (Andrew Murray)

“I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭40‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
